5 WAYS TO INCREASE SALES FOR YOUR BUSINESS

1.SET UP A SALES INCENTIVE PROGRAM
- The first step is one of the most important.Give your sales staff a reason to get out there and sell like a maniac.Why do so many businesses that rely on their sales staff to drive sales have incentive programs in place?Because offering their sales staff the trips and/or TVs for x amount of sales works.
2.GIVE YOUR CUSTOMERS THE INSIDE SCOOP
- When I was at the store the other day I was looking at a item if I was going to buy it or not.Then when a salesperson went up to me and said “I see your interested in this product.We are having a sale on this product next week”.And guess what I bought that item and a new iPod touch.The lesson is if you have a promotion or sale coming up,tell your customers about it.They’ll come back and probably bring some other people with them too.Also remember to call or e-mail them when your sale starts.
3.TIER YOUR CUSTOMERS
- There should be a clear and obvious difference between regular customers and other customers – a difference that your regular customers perceive as showing that you value them. How can you expect customer loyalty if all customers are treated as “someone off the street”? There are all kinds of ways that you can show your regular customers that you value them, from small things such as greeting them by name through larger benefits such as giving regulars extended credit or discounts.
4.SET UP A CUSTOMER REWARDS PROGRAM
- As you probably know a rewards program is something like “Best Buy” or “Nordstrom” has.A example is say a customer buys something for $20.You would give them points or 10% off with a purchase more than $50.
5.GIVE FREE SAMPLES TO CUSTOMERS
- You may see that printing company’s give free samples of all their products to their customers.This will for sure increase the company’s sales because the sampler will most likely like a item and buy it.
