PYGMY SHARKS

The Pygmy shark (Euprotomicrus bispinatus) is one of the smallest sharks in the world,with female topping out at about 11 inches (28cm) (the males are smaller).
HOW LOW CAN YOU GO
Like many shark species,the Pygmy shark practices vertical migration.
This is when the shark spends its night hunting near the surface,but its days way down deep.
The pygmy shark has been recorded deeper than 5,000 feet (1,524 m).
HOW IT LOOKS
The pygmy shark has a very small dorsal fin.
The body is cigar shaped.
Eyes are large and round.
Caudal fin (tail fin) is paddle-shaped.
